Avoca Handweavers is one of the oldest remaining businesses in Dublin, and even if you don’t buy anything, if you pass it then you should definitely pay a visit! The shop was initially opened in 1723, and has been open ever since. The business is, and has remained, a family owned business that works with arts and craft. The craft and design company started operating at the Old Mill in Avoca. Here, the weavers used to create beautiful woven fabrics for dresses and other garments. This quickly became the hallmark of Avoca.
These days, handweaving still takes place at this incredible at the Old Mill, providing for this amazing little shop. The Mill and the shop respect their traditions of quality craftsmanship and design, and provides incredible products made in the old fashioned way. So for a unique gift for friends, or a memento of your visit, make sure you pop in and take a look!
