No trip to Dublin is complete without sightseeing, and perhaps one of the most beautiful sights in the whole city is the Christ Church Cathedral. The Chapter and Dean of Christ Church Cathedral are more than happy to welcome visitors into this building – the oldest one in the whole of the city. It is the ‘mother church’ of the dioceses of Glendalough and Dublin, under the Church of Ireland. The cathedral was founded in 1028, and is the spiritual hub and heart of Dublin. It is one of the biggest and most popular attractions in Dublin, because of the cathedral’s past and its astounding beauty. Walk inside this incredible structure, and you’ll be able to enjoy some incredible art, interiors and even its medieval crypt. Entrance is not free but it’s relatively cheap, and the cathedral is open to visitors all year round.
