Ever since 1999, the Miracle Players have been providing theatre on the streets of Rome. Amongst all of the historical and traditional settings, this group of talented actors is able to offer re-enactments of major events in Roman history, and play out some traditional plays within the streets.
They tend to change locations quite often, and if you’re lucky, you’ll bump into them in the street. If not, however, then research where their next performance is and make sure you head down! It’s a great way to see history in action, and is especially fun for children.
The Miracle Players are known for putting comical slants on history and making some really enjoyable plays on the streets. One of the most popular plays is Julius Caesar, the story of the Roman Emperor. The show is known as ‘Caesar – more than just a salad!’
