Prague Airport Transfers: What You Need to Know

Posted on 11th March 2012 by

When on holiday, the last thing you want to do is spend hours travelling to and from the airport. Fortunately, Prague Ruzyne Airport is just 17km from the city centre, and there are an abundance of options when it comes to organising Prague airport transfers.

One of the most efficient means of transport from the airport to the city centre is via a Prague Airport Shuttle. These are minibuses which run from the airport to any Prague hotel, with prices starting at CZK 450 one-way for a party of two. You can advance-book at www.prague-airport-shuttle.cz. Ordinary taxis are another option, but the absence of fixed fares means you run the risk of being overcharged.

Alternatively, you may wish to consider taking the 119 bus from the airport to Dejvicka station, before taking the metro to Prague city centre. Admittedly, this takes slightly longer, but is considerably cheaper at CZK 26 per adult. An additional half fare applies for heavy luggage.
