Les Halles is situated in the centre of Paris in the 1st Arrondissement, and is in close proximity to the Opera House, the Louvre Museum and many other famous Parisian landmarks and attractions.
This area has been used as a place to meet, and to buy and sell goods for more than 800 years so you can have the satisfaction of knowing that you are continuing a long-held French tradition. However, things have changed more than slightly. Les Halles was given a complete overhaul in 1986, and is now home to a wide variety of fabulous shops – all in an underground shopping mall, while the ground level has been developed into a beautiful park.
There is a real multicultural feel to Les Halles and you will soon discover it is one of the best shopping centres in the city, as well as playing host to some great museums, restaurants and discos.
