Havelske Trziste: the city market

Posted on 12th March 2012 by

Havelske Trziste is Prague’s city centre market and is open all year round – from April to September from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm; and from October to March from 7.00 am to 6.30 pm.

You will find the market just off Melantrichova Street, which is a pedestrian route that links the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square and a few minutes’ walk from either. If you are getting the metro to the market, you will need Mustek, line A or B.

Havelske Trziste is popular with both the locals and tourists and you will discover an assortment of wares including fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, leather goods, ceramics, wooden toys, arts and crafts and other souvenirs that will remind you of your fabulous city break in Prague.

As well as this market, you will also see many street vendors along Charles Bridge and along the river selling arts and crafts as well as paintings.
