Get on a bike in Dublin

Posted on 15th March 2012 by

As well as using the incredibly efficient public transport system in Dublin, you can also make use of the recently-implemented bicycle sharing scheme. Just like many other major cities across Europe, Dublin has now implemented bicycle sharing schemes that let you borrow bicycles for given periods of time, to travel across the city. You will be able to pick up a bicycle from one of the many bicycle stations scattered across the city. Then, when you have finished with the bike, you simply have to drop it back off at a station.

You will be able to pay for the amount of time you use the bike, or you can become a member and pay set fees. There are also many other rental places in the city, which will allow you to rent a bicycle for the whole week, and this could be a cheaper option. Weigh up what’s on offer and make a decision!
