No trip to Prague can ever be considered complete without at least one trip to one of the city’s main rustic, authentic cafés. It is here that tourists can really soak up the atmosphere of the city, taste genuine Czech food products and meet local people.
Prague’s most famous café is Café Slavia: an Art Deco inspired eatery with an unrivalled ambience and great views of the Vltava River. Open daily from 8am until 12am, Café Slavia sells hot and cold beverages as well as snacks and light meals. Vegetarian options are available.
Other popular Old Town cafés include the Grand Café Orient and French-inspired Café Louvre, both of which are open daily and sell a range of food and drinks to suit all tastes. The Municipal House is a must-see attraction in Prague, and its Art Nouveau inspired café is well worth a visit. Widely regarded as one of the best places to grab a coffee and a snack in the entire city, the Municipal House Coffee Shop is unmissable.
