Eating out in Stockholm is usually an amazing experience because the Swedes take their food very seriously – but it is usually very expensive. If you are visiting Stockholm on a tight budget, there are some ways of eating well without it costing you a fortune.
The answer is to pay a visit to the local takeaways. You can get a delicious falafel wrap with a garlic sauce (called a vitlök) for about SEK 15 – 20. If this means nothing to you, then consider that a sandwich usually costs anything from SEK 60 – 80.
If you fancy a Swedish burger, try Max, which can be found in Stockholm Central Station and Norrmalmstorg. You will be able to choose from a range of fast food for between SEK 30 – 60. Included in the price is Wi-Fi access, coffee and toilet facilities, too!
If you are a fan of Subway, you are going to enjoy Sandys. There are several outlets across the city, and your sandwich will cost SEK 49, but if you are famished you can get an extra-large one for another 10 krona. If salad is your meal of choice, then they also serve a variety of these for SEK 65.
