Experience history with the Churchill War Rooms

Posted on 15th March 2012 by

The Churchill War Rooms are amongst the most incredible historical sites in London. If you’re a fan of history and you’re visiting London, then it’s simply a must see. The museum lies deep beneath the city, and has many of the original cabinet rooms where the British government and its workers were sheltered during the Blitz. You’ll see exactly what the rooms used to look like during the Second World War.

From these war rooms, Winston Churchill organised the entire British war efforts and of course, he ultimately won. The rooms from which our Prime Minister worked from were preserved, and back in 1984, were opened to the public. Ever since they have been providing the British public with an insight into British war time history.

Learn about how we won the war and how Churchill directed the war. For a great family day out, make sure you head over to the Churchill War Rooms.
