Browse for a bargain at Porta Portese

Posted on 18th March 2012 by

Porta Portese is the largest flea market in Rome, and you will find it in the Trastevere district every Sunday morning between 6.30 am and 2.00 pm. If you have a passion for searching out a bargain, then this European delight will be perfect for you.

You cannot even begin to imagine the items that you will find on sale at Porta Portese. The diversity of goods will astound you – but that is what makes a good flea market great!

The thing to remember when you discover the one thing that you cannot possibly go home without is that you are expected to barter. It may not be the English way, but it is most certainly the Italian way, so let your inhibitions go and enjoy yourself – and walk away with an amazing bargain.

Porta Portese is the perfect place for those who love a good rummage and baragon hunt, so if this description fits you, then make sure you don’t miss this fabulous market.
