Be amazed at the Pantheon

Posted on 16th March 2012 by

A trip to the Pantheon will enhance your Rome experience no end. This incredible piece of architecture is one of the most legendary structures in the whole world. It was built all the way back in 27BC, and later rebuilt in 126AD, making it a truly impressive building. It’s been standing for such a long time, which is incredible in itself. Its beauty will astound you and your friends.

Back in the 7 th century, the building was converted into a Catholic Church, and remains the same today. Thousands of tourists walk through the historic structure every single year.

It’s free to enter the building, and a range of tours will take you through and explain the history in detail. It currently holds the record for the largest unreinforced concrete building in the world, too! Make sure you pay a visit when holidaying in Rome, it will no doubt be the highlight of your whole trip!
