
Mathias Dahlgren is a well respected chef with many awards and achievements under his belt, including earning his previous restaurant a Michelin star. Less than two years ago, he turned his attention to the Grand Hotel in Stockholm and came up with the concept of a twin restaurant.
Diners can now choose between an informal and very trendy ‘Food Bar’ located in the Matbaren restaurant or the more formal Matsalen dining room. Dahlgren’s ideas for his menus are strongly based on his childhood memories and Sweden’s culinary heritage, and there is no doubt that in a city blessed with many fine restaurants, Dahlgren is setting the standard.
