The Spotted Pig: what eating out in New York is suppose to be

Situated in the West Village, the famed Spotted Pig turns eating out in New York into a lively event complete with tastes that you’re sure to remember well after you return home.

The atmosphere at this popular gastro pub is both trendy and laid back. You might see business people dining alongside anxious tourists and jet setting celebrities, all with a plate of something thick and one of the restaurant’s coveted beers or cocktails. The most ordered beer on the menu is the cask beer, Bitters. You can’t go wrong when ordering a Bitters.

When it comes to dinner, the chargrilled burger with Roquefort and shoestring fries is by far the most celebrated dish on the menu while the sheep’s milk ricotta gnudi with brown butter and sage is a close second. Both dishes have been known to leave patrons raving about their meal for weeks.
The Spotted Pig has a much coveted Michelin star and because of this, diners from all around come here to see if eating out in New York at the Spotted Pig is all its made out to be, and rarely does a single customer leave disappointed.
