The Sidecar is a small club in the heart of Barcelona – just off Las Ramblas, and is open every night to a mixture of locals and tourists. It depends on what day it is as to what the musical theme is, but very often you can find live bands there in the early evening with DJs taking over after midnight.
The Sidecar is a basement club that will hold about 300 people and it tends to get a bit sweaty – but it is very popular with the younger crowd. There is just one room where you will find the bar, the dance floor and a small stage for the live acts.
Finding the Sidecar is easy. From the metro (Liceu – Green Line, L3) head towards the port. You will come across Calle Ferran on your left. Go down there until you see the Plaza Reial on your left. As soon as you enter the square, you will be able to see the Sidecar.
