The Black Stuff in Dublin: Try Guinness!

Posted on 15th March 2012 by

No visit to Dublin would be complete without a trip to the Guinness storehouse. This is located right in the centre of the St James’ Gate Brewery and has been the home of the black stuff since 1759.

Whatever you have ever wondered about Guinness you will find out at the former fermentation plant, including the age-old craft of making the barrels for the black nectar.

The seven-story building has been remodelled so that now it looks like a giant pint of Guinness, though for many people the highlight of the tour is paying a visit to the Gravity Bar where you can enjoy a complementary pint of Guinness while you relax and enjoy the amazing view of Dublin.

In fact, there are three bars, a coffee ship, a restaurant, and facilities for meetings and events, so you whatever your reasons for visiting, you can be accommodated. There is wheelchair access, and free parking in Crane Street.
