Gamla Stan, the original founding place of Stockholm, is easily one of the biggest medieval city centres in all of Europe, and definitely the best preserved. People from all over the world travel to Stockholm just to see this area, and rightly so; a beautiful place, Gamla Stan is full of history, a place you just have to visit during your stay in the area.

Down its cobbled, pedestrian friendly streets, you will discover a range of interesting museums and gorgeous churches, all of which are bound to leave you in a state of awe.
