Take a Relaxed Stroll Down Prague’s Charles Bridge

Posted on 11th March 2012 by

Built in the 13th century, Charles Bridge crosses the tranquil waters of the Vltava River and is the perfect place to visit for an authentic taste of Prague. There are 75 statues erected across the bridge for you to have a look at, as well as countless souvenir shops for you to explore and enjoy during your visit.

Charles Bridge has a total of three bridge towers, all of which are well worth a look. Be sure to take photos of the stunning Old Town Bridge Tower, which is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful bridge towers of all because of its intricate design and attention to detail.

Charles Bridge is less crowded in the morning and tends to become busier later as the afternoon approaches. If you’re on a romantic getaway, you might want to take a soothing night-time stroll along the bridge listening to the wide variety of street musicians on offer.
