Stay in the Sumahan on the Water – a place teaming with character

Posted on 18th March 2012 by

If you’re looking for somewhere a little different to stay during your trip to Istanbul, then Sumahan on the Water is perfect for you. This newly restored 19th century distillery opened its doors just seven years ago, but in that time it has become one of the most popular hotels in the area. Synonymous with luxury and beauty, this incredible little hotel is a great place for holidaymakers, honeymooners and businessmen alike. The distillery has been transformed, but it has managed to maintain some of its character and has become one of the most incredible places to stay.

Sumahan is the perfect example of modernisation. It has managed to create a luxury space to stay whilst respecting the historical aspects of the building and its area at the same time. So for a great experience that’s so much more rewarding than cheap package holiday hotels, make sure you check out the Sumahan on the Water.
