Shop and be entertained at the Via Sannio Market

Posted on 18th March 2012 by

If you love browsing and hunting down a bargain, then you mustn’t miss the Via Sannio Market while you are in Rome. This energetic flea market is filled with vendors of all kinds, as well as an assortment of musicians and other street performers.

This isn’t the biggest flea market in Rome – that title goes to Porta Portense, but this one is open every day from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm and it is as popular with the locals as it is with tourists. You will find an assortment of things on sale, from clothing and accessories to souvenirs and other knick knacks that will remind you of the great time you had in Rome.

The central part of the market is covered, and stretches along the cobbled length of the street, which gives the experience a fabulous authenticity. If you want to make sure that you get the best deals – get here early.
