Sensational Stockholm souvenirs: The best places to go

Posted on 16th March 2012 by

Finding the perfect memento of your holiday can be exceptionally tough; what might seem a bargain in the shop can somehow morph into cheap looking tat as soon as you’ve bought it, and so it’s important to get some advice and tips before you set out on your souvenir search.

One of the most obvious presents to buy whilst in Stockholm, whether it be for you or for a loved one, is a pair of Swedish clogs. Considered to be an in-style item again thanks to the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, you can pick yourself up a pair in Ahléns City.

If this doesn’t seem like the kind of thing you’re after, then take a trip down to Skansen’s gift shop, where you can find a range of Lisa Larson’s ceramic animals, all of which are very popular ornaments in Sweden. Take a trip to Venskt Tenn, where you will see a variety of textiles, or go and get yourself a pair of-ultra tight jeans from the Stockholm designer, Cheap Monday.
