One of the most popular places to visit on your Stockholm holiday is Skansen, a historical miniature version of how the country used to be. A lot of work has gone into making this area seem as authentic as possible, including transporting more than a staggering 150 farms and houses from all over Sweden.
There are many places to visit within Skansen, including the local tinsmith's workshop, the Skogaholm manor house, and the Seglora church – a wooden masterpiece that was crafted in the 18th century.
Take a trip to the zoo where you will be able to look at all of the native animals of Scandinavia, including wolves, lnxes, seal, moose and wolverines. You'll also find an impressively large monkey house here, as well as children's petting zoo.
Enjoy some traditional Swedish food with a trip the Solliden restaurant, where you can experience smörgåsbord cooked to perfection. There are also a variety of different cafes in the area, perfect for grapping a cup of coffee.
