Make sure you visit the Vatican museums

Posted on 16th March 2012 by

Rome is of course famous for the Vatican, and any trip to Rome, whether it’s a holiday or a cultural trip, is not complete without seeing the Vatican museums. Walking through the incredible interconnected hallways and galleries will give you the chance to see some amazing collections of artworks and some beautiful decorations.

This has been the home to the Pope for many centuries, and the Vatican is one of the best places in the world to go for art and design. It has many paintings from the Renaissance period, including some simply beautiful architecture and sculptures within the Sistine Chapel. Furthermore, you should also check out the Pinocoteca. Here you will find masterpieces from the likes of Da Vinci, which is truly an indescribable experience. You’ll love it – there’ no questions about it!

Costing only 15 Euros, too, you can’t really have any excuse not to go.
