Get fresh at Mercato di Testaccio

Posted on 18th March 2012 by

The Mercato di Testaccio is one of the best markets in Rome for fresh produce, and there’s nothing quite like strolling round a market that is full of vibrant fruits and vegetables, and meat, fish and dairy products that are as fresh as they possibly can be. You’ll also find other items for sale that you will love, such as shoes, clothes and souvenirs.

This is also a great venue for having a realistic snapshot of the lives of the people who live and work in Rome, and it’s packed full of energy and vitality – and it doesn’t matter what the weather is doing because the entire market is under cover from the elements. If you are interested in a real Italian market, then the Mercato di Testaccio should be on your list of things not to miss out on when you visit Rome.
