Get around the city by foot

Posted on 16th March 2012 by

Obviously, you don’t have to use any other form of transport than walking when you’re in Paris. The reason people use public transport is of course to get to places quicker, but once you reach your destination, walking around the city is probably the most natural way of getting around.

Not only can you walk around and see the sights, stopping wherever you like and having a great time, but you can also arrange walking tours. There are many companies within the city that have experts on the city who will walk around the city with you and explain the history of its monuments, buildings, statues and more. This is a great way to learn about the city. You can choose between the kinds of tours that you want and what you want to learn about. Fun for all the family, a walking tour of Paris is a great way to get to know French culture and learn about the country’s history.
