For a true Italian experience, visit Trastevere

Posted on 18th March 2012 by

Italy is world famous for its style so where better to find the best of the best than its capital city. Rome has a lot to offer, but if you are looking for some creative and unique boutiques, then Trastevere is the place to visit.

Once upon a time, Trastevere used to be a rough neighbourhood but decades ago it sorted itself out and it is now a vibrant shopping area with many excellent places to eat, and one that appreciates the finer things in life, such as art.

The romantic, medieval streets that make up Trastevere see artists, musicians and film makers frequent their tantalizing shops selling everything from gourmet foods and wines to clothing to antiques, arts and crafts. This is one of the better areas to shop in Rome – and that makes it excellent!

If you ever tire of browsing, simply take a break at one of the superb restaurants in the area and enjoy some fantastic Italian cooking.
