Colorful pasta from Giacomo Rizzo Pastificio

What better souvenir for yourself or for a loved one who stayed home can you bring form your Italy trip then a bag of colorful pasta, the food that says “Italy” like no other? The well known Pastificio (pasta maker) Giacoma Rizzo owns a little store at Cannaregio 5778, just northeast of the Rialto Bridge. There you can buy extraordinary pasta varieties and a large assortment of other local products. You can get handmade pasta colored with different kinds of natural dyes like spinach, squash, beets, turmeric and others as well as unusually shaped pasta e.g. pasta in the shape of gondolas. There are even Carnival hat pastas, and dozens of other shapes that you can buy no-where else.
